There are a handful of global artists that could
adopt the mantel of being a music superstar, but
Pink is sure one that should definitely be
considered. She is now in her 23rd year as an
established artist and has gained a huge fanbase in
every corner of the world after releasing an
extensive catalogue of critically acclaimed hits.
Have you ever tried a trustfall? ItÆs the process of
someone trying to catch you when you lean backward
to stop you hitting the floor. It does take a lot of
confidence in someone to know that you are not going
to crack your head open when you start tentatively
leaning. What pink has done here is take that idea,
but put it into a relationship. Do we trust our
partner enough to make a real commitment to them?
It's quite a nice concept and I can see how the
comparison works.
From the very beginning you can tell where musically
Pink is going to take us with this song.after her
initial dreamy vocals of a few seconds the beat
kicks in. A heavy synth bass pounds along, soon to
be joined by an electronic kick drum which sets a
wonderfully high energy feel. The vocals and
overdubs keep the song interesting with an easy to
remember hook that loops throughout the song. With
all the complexity of the final production, it is no
wonder that there was time to take this track to
nearly four minutes, because it keeps us loving the
different sections and energy that Pink has created
with.
